A western disturbance is likely to affect western
Himalayan region on 16th and 17th. The maximum temperatures
are above normal by 3-6°C over parts of northwest,
west and northeast India. They are nearly normal over
remaining parts of country except parts of Maharashtra
where they are below normal by 2-4 °C. The prevailing
meteorological conditions suggest rise in maximum
temperatures by 1-2°C over northwest, west and adjoining
central India during the next 1-2 days.
OUTLOOK
(Mar 18-Mar 20): Isolated thunderstorm is likely over
northeastern States and sub-Himalayan West Bengal
and Sikkim. Another western disturbance is likely
to affect western Himalayan region from 18th onwards..
