The maximum temperatures over parts of Gujarat and
western Himalayan region are above normal by about
6 deg C and by 2-4 deg C over remaining parts of the
country except extreme south peninsula where they
are below normal by nearly 2 deg C. However, the minimum
temperatures are below normal by 2-3 deg C over Indo-Gangetic
plains. The prevailing meteorological conditions suggest
no large change in temperature scenario during the
next 2-3 days over northwest and central India. With
the weakening of easterly wave, the rainfall activity
over south peninsula is likely to decrease from today
onwards. However, there is possibility of isolated
thundershowers over Maharashtra and adjoining areas
of Andhra Pradesh and Chhattisgarh during 14th to
16th.
OUTLOOK
(Mar 15-Mar 17): Isolated rain/thundershowers are
likely over parts of Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh ,
Chhattisgarh and Orissa. Gradual rise in temperatures
is likely over most parts of the country.
