         Under the influence of a western disturbance, isolated to scattered precipitation activity is likely over western Himalayan region during the next 48 hours. During the past 24 hours, the maximum temperatures have fallen by 2-3 °C over parts of northwest and central India. The minimum temperatures have also fallen by 2-3°C over parts of Indo-Gangetic plains and adjoining west India. However, the maximum temperatures are above normal by 4-7 °C over central India and by 3-4°C over parts of northwest, west and peninsular India. The minimum temperatures are also above normal by 2-4 °C over many parts of northwest, west, central and east India. Current meteorological analysis suggests that no significant change in temperatures is likely over northwest, west and central India during next 1-2 days and slightly fall thereafter.

        OUTLOOK (Mar 9-Mar 11): Isolated to scattered rain/thundershowers are likely over south peninsula.
