         Under the influence of a western disturbance which is lying over Jammu & Kashmir and neighbourhood, isolated to scattered precipitation is likely over western Himalayan region during the next 24 hours. A fresh western disturbance is likely to affect western Himalayan region and adjoining plains of northwest India from 6th onwards. The maximum temperatures are above normal by 4-8°C over parts of west and central India and by 2-3°C over parts of north-west India. The current meteorological analysis suggests that no significant change in maximum temperatures is likely over west, central and east India during the next 1-2 days.

        OUTLOOK (Mar 7-Mar 9): Isolated to scattered precipitation activity is likely over northeastern states. An easterly wave is likely to affect extreme south peninsula from 8th onwards.
