Report & Forecast
(Indicating regional changes)
March 3, 2009
Weather
forecast valid for next 3 days
Under the influence of a western disturbance isolated
to scattered precipitation is likely over western
Himalayan region during the next 24 hours. The maximum
temperatures are above normal by 6-8°C over Rajasthan,
Gujarat and by 3-6°C over many parts of central and
adjoining peninsular India. The minimum temperatures
are above normal by 4-6°C over Rajasthan and by 2-4°C
over Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Orissa. The current
meteorological analysis suggests that no significant
change in temperatures is likely over west, central
and east India during the next 1-2 days and fall thereafter.
OUTLOOK
(Mar 6-Mar 8): Isolated to scattered precipitation
activity is likely over northeastern states. A fresh
western disturbance is likely to affect western Himalayan
region.
