Under the influence of the western disturbance scattered
to widespread rain/snow is likely over western Himalayan
region during the next 24 hours. Isolated rain/thundershowers
are also likely over parts of plains of northwest
India during the period. Fog/shallow fog condition
prevailed over parts of Punjab, east Uttar Pradesh,
Bihar and Sub-Himalayan west Bengal. It is likely
to continue mainly in morning hours during the next
1-2 days. Minimum temperatures were above normal by
4-7°C over the plains of northwest India, north Rajasthan,
northwest Madhya Pradesh and Bihar. Current meteorological
conditions suggest that fall in minimum temperature
by 2-4°C is likely during the next 48 hours.
OUTLOOK
(Jan 30-Feb 1): No significant change in minimum temperatures
is likely over northwest India. Mainly dry weather
is likely over many parts of the country.
