Under the influence of the western disturbance scattered
to fairly widespread rain/snow is likely over western
Himalayan region during the next 24 hours. Isolated
to scattered rain/thundershowers are also likely over
parts of plains of northwest India during the same
period. Fog/shallow fog condition prevailed over parts
of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and
west Bengal. It is likely to continue mainly in morning
hours during the next 1-2 days. Minimum temperatures
are above normal by 4-7°C over plains of northwest
India, north Rajasthan, northwest Madhya Pradesh and
Bihar. Current meteorological conditions suggest that
fall in minimum temperature by 3-4°C is likely during
the next 48 hours.
OUTLOOK
(Jan 29-Jan 31): No significant change in minimum
temperatures is likely over northwest India. Scattered
rain/thundershowers are likely over Arunachal Pradesh,
Assam and Meghalaya.
