Under the influence of the ongoing western disturbance
isolated to scattered precipitation activity is likely
over the western Himalayan region and isolated rain/thundershower
is also likely over parts of plains of northwest India
during the next 24 hours. Fog/shallow fog conditions
prevailed over parts of Punjab, Haryana and Delhi,
north Rajasthan, east Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. They
are likely to continue in morning hours in the next
1-2 days. Minimum temperatures are above normal by
5-8° C over most parts of east Rajasthan, west Madhya
Pradesh and by 3-5°C over the plains of northwest
India, east Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat. Current meteorological
analysis suggests that they are likely to fall by
3-4°C over northwest and central India in the next
48 hours.
OUTLOOK
(Jan 22-Jan 24): A fresh western disturbance is likely
to affect northwest India after 24th January.
