Current meteorological analysis suggests no significant
change in minimum temperatures during the next 1-2
days. A weak easterly wave is likely to affect extreme
south peninsula during the next 48 hours. Due to moisture
incursion and confluence, isolated to scattered light
rain/thundershowers are likely over central and adjoining
Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand and Bihar during the next
48 hours. The lowest minimum temperature of 1.6°C
was recorded at Amritsar (Punjab) in the plains of
northwest India.
OUTLOOK
(Jan 11-Jan 13): Mainly dry weather is likely over
many parts of the country. Fall in minimum temperature
over Punjab, Haryana by 1-2°C and over Gangetic plains
by 2-4°c likely.
