           Fog conditions prevailed over Punjab, Haryana and Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, parts of sub-Himalayan West Bengal and west Assam. Fog conditions are likely to continue over the region during the next 2-3 days. The western disturbance and its induced upper air cyclonic circulation are affecting Jammu & Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and northwest Uttar Pradesh during the next 24 hrs. Minimum temperatures are below normal by 1-2°C over Punjab, Haryana and by 2-3°C over parts of east Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. These are above normal by 2-5°C over parts of west Rajasthan, Gujarat and west Madhya Pradesh, remaining parts of northwest India and Orissa. Slight rise in minimum temperature is likely over plains of northwest India during the next 24 hours.

          OUTLOOK (Jan 7-Jan 9): Fall in minimum temperatures is likely to occur over plains of northwest India.
