Due to the presence of a western disturbance over
north Pakistan and adjoining Jammu & Kashmir, scattered
to fairly widespread rain/snow is likely over western
Himalayan region during the next 2-3 days. The minimum
temperatures are above normal by 3-5°C over parts
of northwest, west and central India. Similar condition
is likely to continue over these regions during the
next 2-3 days. Numerical weather prediction models
suggest that strong northwesterly winds are likely
to prevail over the Gangetic plains leading to fall
in minimum temperatures over Uttar Pradesh and Bihar
during the next 2-3 days.
OUTLOOK
(Feb 25-Feb 27): Isolated to scattered rain/thundershowers
are likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya.
