A feeble western disturbance lies over Jammu & Kashmir
and neighbourhood, it is likely to cause isolated
to scattered rain/snowfall over western Himalayan
region during the next 24 hours and another fresh
feeble western disturbance is likely to affect western
Himalayan region from tomorrow onwards. The minimum
temperatures were above normal by 2-4°C over parts
of northwest, west and central India. Similar condition
is likely to continue over these regions during the
next 3-4 days. Numerical weather prediction models
suggest that strong northwesterly winds are likely
to prevail over the Gangetic plains leading to fall
in minimum temperatures over Uttar Pradesh and Bihar
during the next 3-4 days.
OUTLOOK
(Feb 24-Feb 26): Scattered rain/snow is likely over
western Himalayan region. Isolated to scattered rain/thundershowers
are likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya
