meteorological analysis and numerical weather prediction
models indicate that a fresh western disturbance is
approaching northwest India. It is likely to cause
scattered to fairly widespread precipitation over
western Himalayan region during 3rd to 6th February.
Isolated rain/thundershowers also likely over adjoining
plains of northwest India during 5th and 6th February.
Due to approach of western disturbance, wind pattern
is likely to change from northwesterly to southwesterly
leading to rise in minimum temperatures by 2-4°C over
northwest, west and adjoining central India during
3rd to 6th February.
OUTLOOK
(Feb 5-Feb 7): Scattered to fairly widespread precipitation
is likely over western Himalayan region and isolated
rain/thundershowers are likely over adjoining plains
of northwest India. Fall in minimum temperature by
2-3 °C is likely over northwest and west India from
7th February.
