          Current meteorological analysis and numerical weather prediction models indicate that a fresh western disturbance is likely to affect northwest India from 3rd February onwards. As predicted, the minimum temperatures fell by 2-3°C over parts of northwest and central India. They are above normal by 3-5°C over parts of north Rajasthan and east India. Current meteorological conditions suggest that minimum temperatures are likely to fall by 2-4°C over parts of northwest, east and central India during the next 2-3 days. However, they are likely to increase over west India and parts of northwest India after 24 hours. Mainly dry weather is likely to prevail over most parts of the country during the next 3-4 days.

          OUTLOOK (Feb 4-Feb 6): Scattered precipitation is likely over western Himalayan region. Rise in minimum temperature by 2-3 °C is likely over west India and parts of northwest India.
