The
deep depression over south coastal Andhra Pradesh
moved west-northwestwards, weakend into a depression
and lay centred at 0830 hours on 16 November 2008
over Rayalaseema close to Nandyal. The system is likely
to move in a west-northwesterly direction and weaken
further into a low pressure area during the next 12
hours. Under its influence, rainfall at most places
with isolated heavy to very heavy falls is likely
over Rayalaseema, south Telengana and interior Karnataka
during the next 12 hours. The minimum temperatures
are above normal by 4-6 deg C over parts of Rajasthan
and Orissa. They are above normal by 2-3 deg C over
parts of central India. The minimum temperatures are
likely to fall by 1-2 deg C over northwest India during
the next 48 hours.
WARNING:
Heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely at isolated
places over Rayalseema, southTelengana and interior
Karnataka during the next 24 hours.
OUTLOOK:
Scattered
to fairly widespread rainfall activity is likely over
Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andaman & Nicobar islands, Lakshadweep
and Karnataka. Fall in night temperatures over northwest
and adjoining central India.
