Minimum temperatures have fallen by 2-4°C over parts
of central and east India. These are 2-3°C below normal
over the parts of central and east India and near
normal over northwest India. Current meteorological
analysis suggests, no significant change in the minimum
temperatures during the next 2 – 3 days· Fog conditions
prevailed over Punjab, parts of Haryana, Uttar Pradesh
and northeastern states. The lowest minimum temperature
of 2.4°C was recorded at Amritsar (Punjab) in the
plains of the country.
OUTLOOK
(Dec 29-Dec 31): A weak western disturbance is likely
to affect Jammu & Kashmir region from 28th onwards.
Mainly dry weather conditions are likely to prevail
over most parts of the country.
