      Under the influence of a fresh western disturbance isolated precipitation is likely to occur over western Himalayan region on the 15th. Subsequently, precipitation activity is likely to increase and extend into adjoining northern plains. Current meteorological analysis suggests scattered rainfall activity over south peninsula during the next 3-4 days. The minimum temperatures are above normal by 4-6° C over parts of Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, by 2-5° C over Gujarat, north Maharashtra, Telengana. They are below normal by 2-3° C over parts of Punjab, Haryana, north Rajasthan. No significant change in minimum temperature is likely to occur over northwest India, Rajasthan during the next 24 hours and likely increase thereafter.

OUTLOOK (Dec 17-Dec 19): Scattered to fairly widespread precipitation activity is likely over western Himalayan region. Isolated rain/thundershower is also likely over Punjab, north Haryana and north Rajasthan. Isolated to scattered rain/thundershower activity is likely over extreme southern peninsular India.
