The upper air cyclonic circulation over southeast
Arabian Sea and neighbourhood extending upto 2.1 km
a.s.l. persists. A fresh western disturbance is likely
to cause scattered to fairly widespread precipitation
activity over western Himalayan region from 15th onwards.
The minimum temperatures are above normal by 4-7°
C over parts of Madhya Pradesh & Bihar and by 3-5°
C over remaining parts of central & east India, Maharashtra
and parts of Gujarat. They are above normal by 2-3
°C over parts of Rajasthan and plains of northwest
India. Minimum temperatures are likely to fall by
1-2 °C over Rajasthan and plains of northwest India
and adjoining central India during the next 1-2 days.
However, under the influence of a fresh western disturbance,
the minimum temperatures are likely to increase by
2-3 °C over Rajasthan, northwest and adjoining central
India from 15th onwards. Current meteorological analysis
suggests subdued rainfall activity over south peninsula
during the next 5 days.
OUTLOOK
(Dec 16-Dec 18): Scattered to fairly widespread precipitation
activity is likely over western Himalayan region.
Isolated rain/thundershower is also likely over Punjab,
north Haryana and north Rajasthan.
