The
low pressure area over Sri Lanka & neighbourhood now
lies over Sri Lanka and adjoining Comorin area. Under
its influence, fairly widespread rain/thundershowers
with isolated heavy to very heavy falls is likely
over Tamil Nadu and Kerala during the next 48 hours.
The western disturbance as an upper air system over
Jammu & Kashmir and neighbourhood persists. It is
likely to cause scattered to fairly widespread precipitation
over western Himalayan region till tomorrow and decrease
thereafter. The minimum temperatures have fallen by
2-4 deg C over west Rajasthan and Saurashtra & Kutch.
However, they are still above normal by 5-8 deg C
over Rajasthan, Gujarat, west Uttar Pradesh and parts
of Bihar & Assam. They are 3-4 deg C above normal
over Punjab and Haryana.

Tamil Nadu and Kerala during the next 48 hours.
OUTLOOK

11-Dec 13): Decrease
in rainfall activity is likely over south peninsula.
Fall in night temperatures over northwest and west-central
India. Isolated to scattered rain/thundershowers likely
over northeast states.
