low pressure area over eastcentral and adjoining south
east Arabian sea persists. The low pressure area over
westcentral Bay of Bengal off Andhra Pradesh coast
persists. Numerical weather prediction models suggest
that the system may concentrate into a depression
during the next 24 hours. Under its influence, scattered
to fairly widespread rainfall activity is likely along
the east coast during the next 2-3 days.
WARNING
(Next 48 hours): Isolated
heavy rainfall is likely over Kerala, coastal Karnataka,
Lakshadweep, Andaman & Nicobar islands, coastal areas
of Orissa, West Bengal and Andhra Pradesh.
