Yesterday’s
low pressure area over southeast and adjoining eastcentral
Arabian sea now lies over eastcentral and adjoining
southeast Arabian sea. Current meteorological analysis
suggests formation of a low pressure area over westcentral
and adjoining northwest Bay of Bengal by Saturday,
leading to increase in rainfall activity along the
east coast. Due to prevalence of northwesterly winds,
night temperatures are below normal by 2-3°C over
central and adjoining east India. The minimum temperatures
are likely to increase during the next 48 hours.
WARNING
(Next 48 hours): Isolated
heavy rainfall is likely over Tamil Nadu, Kerala,
coastal Karnataka, Lakshadweep and coastal Andhra
Pradesh.
