Scattered
to fairly widespread rainfall activity is likely over
south peninsula and Lakshadweep during the next 2-3
days. The western disturbance over central Pakistan
and adjoining Jammu & Kashmir extending upto 2.1 km
with a trough aloft is likely to cause isolated to
scattered rain/thundershowers over western Himalayan
region and adjoining northern plains during the next
48 hours. Due to the prevailing of easterly/east-southeasterly
winds over peninsular India and the western disturbance,
the maximum temperatures are above normal by 5-7 deg
C over west coast and by 4-5 deg C over some parts
of east Rajasthan and west Madhya Pradesh.
WARNING
(Next 48 hours): Isolated heavy rainfall is likely
over Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Lakshadweep.
