         A low pressure area has formed over north Bay of Bengal and the neighbourhood. Under its influence enhanced rainfall activity is likely over east India during the next 3-4 days. The system is likely to become more marked during the next 48 hours . There will be widespread rainfall activity with heavy to very heavy falls over western Himalayan region and northern plains during the next 3 days.

        Rain/thundershowers are likely at most places over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and west UP. Rain/thundershowers are likely at most places over Orissa, Bihar and east Uttar Pradesh. Rain/ thundershowers are likely at many places over the rest region. Rain/ thundershowers are likely at many places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya. Rain/thundershowers are likely at many places over coastal Karnataka, north Coastal Andhra Pradesh.        Monsoon Watch: Southwest monsoon has further advanced into most parts of Arabian sea, remaining parts of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Punjab, some more parts of Rajasthan and Haryana including Delhi. Conditions are favourable for further advance of the monsoon into the remaining parts of the country during the next 2-3 days.

       Warning (for the next 48 hours): Isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely over Jammu & Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Orissa. Isolated heavy rainfall is likely over Gangetic West Bengal, Konkan & Goa and coastal Karnataka.
