Morning’s upper air cyclonic circulation over east Uttar Pradesh and the adjoining
areas of north Madhya Pradesh persists. Under its influence, fairly widespread
rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy falls is likely over east Uttar Pradesh,
north Madhya Pradesh and north Chhattisgarh during the next 48 hours. The offshore
trough extends from Gujarat coast to Kerala coast with an embedded cyclonic circulation
over northeast Arabian Sea. Under this scenario, widespread rainfall with heavy
to very heavy falls at a few places is likely over Konkan and Goa, south Gujarat
region and Saurashtra during the next 24 hours and decrease thereafter. Fairly
widespread rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy falls also likely over north
central Maharashtra, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep during the next
48 hours.
