Morning’s upper air cyclonic circulation over east Uttar Pradesh and the adjoining
areas of north Madhya Pradesh persists. Under its influence, fairly widespread
rainfall with isolate heavy to very heavy falls is likely over east Uttar Pradesh,
north Madhya Pradesh and north Chhattisgarh during the next 48 hours. The offshore
trough extends from Gujarat coast to Kerala coast with embedded cyclonic circulation
over northeast Arabian Sea. Under this scenario, widespread rainfall with heavy
to very heavy falls at a few places is likely over Konkan and Goa, south Gujarat
region and Saurashtra during the next 48 hours. Fairly widespread rainfall with
isolated heavy to very heavy falls is also likely over central Maharashtra, coastal
Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep during the period. Rain/
thundershowers are likely at many places over the region outside Punjab and Jammu
& Kashmir where it is likely at a few places. Rain/ thundershowers are likely
at many places over Bihar, Jharkhand, east Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal & Sikkim.
