Ganga is no more holy in Varanasi

Varanasi: In spite of the Action Plan to clean the river, the Ganga at this religious place in Varanasi is full of sewage. Confluence of rivers is sacred in Hinduism but not in Varanasi where the Asi river now known as Nagwa Nala meets the Ganga. Today, the Ganga is a living hell because there are 30 sewers that dump sewage into the river just half a kilometre upstream of Varanasi.
