Midnight mass marks Easter celebration

Delhi: Easter, which commemorates the resurrection of Jesus Christ
after his crucifixion, was celebrated with devotional fervour across the
country. For Christians the miraculous event symbolises the victory of
virtue over vice and life after death.At the Sacred Heart Cathedral in
New Delhi, hundreds of devotees lit candles, sang devotional songs and
attended special prayers to mark the occasion.
