Emirates
plans more flights from India
MUMBAI:
Dubai airline Emirates is planning to increase
the number of flights from India to meet
the increasing demand, a senior official
said on Friday.
The airline will also seek India's permission
to use larger aircraft. The official said
the demand for seats could increase after
a number of foreign governments have advised
their nationals to leave the country in
view of the Indo-Pak tension. Emirates now
operates 37 flights in a week from India
to Dubai: 18 from Mumbai, eight from Hyderabad,
seven from New Delhi and four from Chennai.
It uses 243-seat Airbus A330s on all these
flights.
