           A western disturbance is likely to affect western Himalayan region in the next 2-3 days. Isolated to scattered rain/thundershowers are also likely over plains of northwest India in the next 48 hours. Fog/shallow fog condition prevailed over parts of east Uttar Pradesh, north Bihar and west Assam. It is likely to continue mainly in the morning hours in the next 1-2 days. The minimum temperatures are above normal by 6-8°C over parts of northwest and west India. Current meteorological conditions suggest that minimum temperatures are likely to increase by another 1-2° C over northwest and adjoining central India in the next 48 hours and decrease thereafter.

          OUTLOOK (Jan 27-Jan 29): Fall in minimum temperatures is likely over northwest India. Scattered rain/thundershowers are likely over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya.
