Report & Forecast
(Indicating regional changes)
February 26, 2009
Weather
forecast valid for next 3 days
Under the influence of an upper air cyclonic circulation
in the lower troposphere and the trough in the middle
troposphere, scattered to fairly widespread rain/thundershowers
activity is likely over parts of northeastern states
during the next 2-3 days. The current meteorological
analysis and numerical weather prediction models suggest
that no significant change is likely in maximum temperatures
over Indo-Gangetic plains during the next 3-4 days.
OUTLOOK
(Feb 29-Mar 3): Isolated to scattered rain/thundershowers
are likely over northeastern States. A fresh western
disturbance is likely to affect western Himalayan
region from 3rd onwards.
