Numerical
weather prediction models suggest that the easterly
wave is likely to cause scattered to fairly widespread
rain/thundershowers with isolated heavy rainfall over
parts of south peninsular India during the next 3-4
days. Due to passage of a western disturbance as an
upper system minimum temperatures have fallen by 2-
4 deg C over northwest, west and adjoining parts of
central India. However, they are 5-8 deg C above normal
over remaining parts of central India and adjoining
west and east India. These were below normal by 2-4
deg C over north Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Numerical weather prediction models suggest change
in existing wind pattern leading to likely further
fall in minimum temperatures.
OUTLOOK

Scattered
to fairly widespread rainfall with isolated heavy
rainfall is likely over south peninsula and Andaman
& Nicobar Islands. § Low pressure area is likely to
form over southeast Bay of Bengal and neighbourhood
around 26th. § Fall in night temperatures over northwest
and adjoining central India.
