Current
meteorological analysis indicates that another western
disturbance is approaching and likely to cause scattered
precipitation over western Himalayan region and adjoining
northern plains during 19-20 November. Numerical weather
prediction models suggest that a fresh easterly wave
is likely to cause scattered to fairly widespread
rain/thundershowers over parts of south peninsular
India during 20-23 November. In view of confluence
of different air masses and moisture incursion isolated
rain/thundershower is likely over Gujarat, east Rajasthan,
west Madhya Pradesh, Konkan and Goa and madhya Maharashtra
during the next 48hours. Minimum
temperatures are 5-8 deg C above normal over central
India and adjoining areas. These warm temperature
conditions are likely to prevail during the next 48
hours. Thereafter with change in wind pattern, temperatures
are likely to fall.
