Weather Report & Forecast
(Indicating regional changes)

November 12, 2008

Weather forecast valid for next 3 days

Current meteorological analysis and numerical weather prediction models suggest that a western disturbance as an upper system is likely to cause scattered to fairly widespread precipitation activity over western Himalayan region during the next 2-3 days. A low pressure area is likely to form over southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas during the next 48 hours. Numerical weather prediction models indicate its initial west-northwestwards movement and further intensification. Minimum temperatures are above normal by 2-5 deg C over parts of northwest and central India, Rajasthan and Gujarat. With the approaching of the western disturbance, they are likely to increase further by about 2 deg C over northwest and adjoining central India during the next 2-3 days.
