The western disturbance as an upper air system over
western Himalayan region and the plains of northwest
India is likely to continue during the next 4-5 days.
It is likely to cause scattered to fairly widespread
precipitation activity mainly during 17-19 December.
Due to likely southerly winds and cloudy conditions
minimum temperatures will increase by 4-5° C over
most parts of northwest India during the next 4-5
days. Under the influence of easterly wave, scattered
rain/thundershowers are likely over south peninsula
during the next three days.
OUTLOOK
(Dec 19-Dec 21): Fairly widespread rain/snow is likely
over western Himalayan region. with isolated heavy
falls over Jammu & Kashmir. · Isolated rain/thundershower
is also likely over adjoining plains of northwest
India.
