      Morning’s low pressure area over southeast Arabian Sea and adjoining Comorin area now lies over southeast Arabian sea and neighbourhood. Under its influence, fairly widespread rain/thundershowers with isolated heavy falls is likely over Lakshadweep during the next 24 hours and decrease thereafter. The western disturbance as an upper air system over Jammu & Kashmir and neighbourhood persists. It is likely to move away eastwards tomorrow. Under its influence, scattered precipitation is likely over western Himalayan region during the next 24 hours and isolated thereafter. Under the influence of western disturbance, currently lying over Jammu & Kashmir, the minimum temperatures are above normal by 6-8 deg C over parts of Rajasthan and west Madhya Pradesh. They are above normal by 3-5 deg C over parts of central India and plains of northwest India. The minimum temperatures are likely to fall by 3-4 deg C gradually over northwest and central India from tomorrow onwards.

Warning: Isolated heavy falls is likely over Lakshadweep during the next 24 hours.

OUTLOOK (Dec 13-Dec 15): Decreased rainfall activity over peninsular India.
