The
feeble low pressure area over eastcentral and adjoining
southeast Arabian Sea has weakened into a trough of
low extending from southeast Arabian sea upto north
Konkan & Goa coast. Numerical weather prediction models
and meteorological analysis suggest formation of a
low pressure area over southeast Bay of Bengal around
3rd December and its likely westward movement. Partly
cloudy condition over the parts of country has caused
rise in minimum temperatures, these are above normal
by 6-8 deg C over parts of Maharashtra, by 4-6 deg
C over Karnataka and parts of Uttar Pradesh and by
2-4 deg C over remaining parts of India except over
parts of northeastern states, east and north India.
This scenario is likely to continue during the next
2-3 days.
OUTLOOK

rainfall activity over south peninsula and fairly
widespread rainfall activity over Andaman & Nicobar
Islands are likely to occur.
