A
fresh western disturbance is likely to affect Jammu
& Kashmir and western Himalayan region during the
next 48 hours. Yesterday's well-marked low pressure
area over southeast Arabian sea now lies over southwest
Arabian sea. Scattered to fairly widespread rainfall
activity is likely over south peninsula and Lakshadweep
during the next 2-3 days. Under the influence of easterly
winds over peninsular India, maximum temperatures
are above normal by 4-6ºC over west coast and these
are likely to continue during the next 2-3 days. Due
to approaching of a western disturbance, the minimum
temperatures are likely to increase by 2-3ºC over
northwest India during the next 1-2 days
WARNING
(Next 48 hours): Isolated heavy rainfall is likely
over Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Lakshadweep.
