The
southwest Monsoon has further withdrawn from the remaining
parts of east Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, north
Orissa, north Chhattisgarh, east Madhya Pradesh, remaining
parts of west Madhya Pradesh, whole of Gujarat, parts
of north Madhya Maharashtra and north Arabian Sea.
The Monsoon withdrawal line passes through 28.00 N/87.00
E, Purnia, Jamshedpur, Raipur, Aurangabad 20.00 N/65.00
E and 20.00 N/60.00 E. Fairly widespread rainfall
activity is likely over peninsular India during the
next 4-5 days. A feeble western disturbance likely
to affect western Himalayan region from tomorrow onwards.
It is likely to cause scattered precipitation over
parts of western Himalayan region during the next
2-3 days. The maximum temperatures are above normal
by 4-5°C over parts of central and adjoining west
India and minimum temperatures are above normal by
2-3°C over northwest and central India .
OUTLOOK:
The onset of northeast monsoon over south peninsula
is likely on 15 October..
