Patnitop has heavy snowfall

Patnitop (J-K): Patnitop, a hill resort of Jammu and Kashmir, experienced the season's first heavy snowfall on Sunday. Hundreds of tourists have thronged Patnitop to enjoy snowfall. People who came to visit the shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, located at a distance of 80 kms from Patnitop, also flocked to experience the first snowfall. "We had come to Vaishno Devi shrine. This is our celebration with nature. God has blessed us," said Kamini, a tourist. Many revelers, left awestruck by the picturesque region, were greatly fascinated to see the snow for the first time. A number of them were excited with joy. "I feel very good to see the snowfall. I am seeing it for the first time. I feel like I have come to heaven. I really don't know how to express, I am just speechless," Sima, a tourist from Kolkatam said. The snowfall in upper reaches and rain in lower regions has broken the dry spell in the state and has also led to a dip in temperatures in the neighbouring states, including the New Delhi.
