Mughal Gardens to open for visually impaired

     New Delhi: The Mughal Gardens at Rashtrapati Bhavan will be open for the visually impaired from Wednesday. The garden will be opened for schools and organisations from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.. For visually impaired from general public, it will be opened from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 pm. The Mughal Gardens include the Musical Garden, the Spiritual Garden, the Herbal Garden, the Biodiversity Park and the Nakshatra Garden. The Mughal Gardens, contiguous to the main building of Rashtrapati Bhavan cover an area of 15 acres. Sir Edwin Lutyens designed the beautiful gardens. The Rectangular Garden adjacent to the main Rashtrapati Bhavan building, which is divided into four quarters, each with terraced gardens on either side. The Central Lawn is the venue of numerous receptions and 'At Homes' hosted by the President. The Rectangular Garden has several beds of Tulips. This garden will be the centre of attraction this year having eight different varieties of Tulips. The entry and exit will be from gate no.12, situated on Church Road, opposite North Avenue.
