Madonna visits Afghan Church in Mumbai

Mumbai: American pop icon Madonna visited a heritage Afghan church here on Wednesday. A priest at the church said Madonna was impressed by its structure. "She (Madonna) was amazed at the structure of Afghan church. She read out the names of the soldiers who had died in the Afghan War in 1838-43. She really liked the structure," said Sunil Awale, a priest. The pop queen was also spotted having lunch at Hotel Moshes in Mumbai's Colaba area. The singer, who is on an extended New Year's break in India with her family, came to Mumbai on Tuesday after touring the desert state of Rajasthan. Madonna has come along with Guy Ritchie, her film director husband, and their children.
