Police check security preparedness at Taj Mahal

Agra: Police conducted a mock security drill around Taj Mahal. Officials said there was a terror threat to Taj Mahal that attracts the highest number of foreign tourists in the country. The district administration and the paramilitary Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) jointly performed the mock drill to test the response of the security personnel. "We keep checking our security scheme and update it. We have taken measures to rectify the mistakes in this mock drill. We will keep performing such drills in the future," said J.P Sharma, inspector general of police, Agra. B.P Ashok, Agra's superintendent of police, who was present during the drill, said that it was ensured that the people did not panic. "The security men safely covered the Taj Mahal from all positions. We identified the attackers and they were entrapped," said B.P Ashok. Speeding police vehicles with sirens blaring and the arrival of anti-sabotage teams took many tourists by surprise..
