Charul Kapadia, owner of Jasmine Tea Restaurant, has turned her eating-joint into a place for spiritual learning. Customers visiting this small restaurant are free to pick any book from the small library stacked with spiritual books here and enjoy reading while sipping a cup of tea. The special restaurant with an all Indian ambience not only offers food but along with a host of books. The
customers eat from low tables by squatting over the mats and cushions
on floor and enrich their knowledge in spirituality. Charul has a wide
range of delicacies from all over the world to offer which she serves
moulded in Indian cultural ethos and with a pleasing smile. "This is a
very good restaurant for those individuals who are in search of eternal
peace," said Kamal Nath, a customer of restaurant. In this restaurant
tourists are bestowed upon with the knowledge of spirituality through
Vedantas, Upanishads, Gita, Ramayana, Puranas and biographies of great
men. Besides Charul also claims to have an exclusive fare for patients
of diabetes, arthritis, asthma and other chronic ailments. She says that
a hallmark of her restaurant is an exclusive menu to improve memory. "I
have tried to make a place where people will eat and enjoy the spiritual
books. We are getting a very good response, People who are not interested
in spirituality are also coming here and learning new things," said Charul.
