Mussoorie has season's first snowfall
Mussoorie
(Uttarakhand): The hill town of Mussoorie in Uttarakhand had heavy
snowfall on Wednesday. The mercury came down and tourists from the plains
flocked here. Hundreds of tourists are thronging the town after the first
bout of snowfall here. "We enjoyed a lot. We have come here to witness
the snowfall. We are enjoying a lot...we also played in the snow," said
Prakash, a tourist. "We are enjoying. I haven't seen such a beautiful
snowfall in my life," said Amitesh Chanda, another tourist. The fresh
snowfall led to a dip in temperatures in the neighbouring states as well.
Northern parts of the country are in the grip of severe cold with snowfall,
icy winds and intermittent drizzles since last Friday.
