Kochi to host travel buyer-seller meet Kochi:
The fourth edition of the Kerala Travel Mart (KTM) will be held here
from September 28 to 30. KTM is the country's premier buyer-seller mart
and is held under the aegis of the KTM Society and Kerala Tourism. The
main objective of the event is to become a mechanism for an effective
and continuous private-public partnership to facilitate the promotion
of tourism in the state. The event is an ideal platform for sellers such
as like hotels, resorts, houseboats, ayurvedic treatment centers, tour
operators, adventure tours and specialty hospitals. It is also an ideal
platform for buyers such tour operators and the travel media. Encouraged
by the success of the previous three editions, the KTM Society is expecting
a large number of high profile quality buyers this time as well. This
year's Travel Mart is expected showcase farm stays, monsoon tours, medical
tourism and wedding and honeymoon holidays as its new projects. The last
edition of KTM focused on promoting eco-tourism and lesser-known destinations
in Kerala such as Wayanad. Kochi played host to KTM 2004 and then, it
had attracted `buyers' from new markets such as China, Russia and the
US. KTM is the only tourism event in the subcontinent that brings the
business fraternity and entrepreneurs together for the promotion of tourism-related
products and services in Kerala. |
