 Extra coaches for Samjhota Express

Lahore: Pakistan Railways (PR) has reportedly decided to add a few extra coaches to Samjhota Express running on the Lahore-Wahga-Attari route to facilitate passengers between Pakistan and India. The move is being contemplated since the operation of 'Thar Express', the second train between the two countries, is expected to remain suspended for another eight weeks due to heavy rains in Rajasthan. Heavy rains in Rajasthan had caused extensive breaches resulting in further disruption of train operation, said a Pakistan Railways press statement released yesterday. Large stretches of railway tracks on the Munabao-Judhpur intersection had also been inundated, the Daily Times quoted the statement as saying.
