Agra:
The search operation carried out by the Delhi Police for the missing
Japanese student, Kota Shinozaki, has led them to Agra. According to Agra
Police, Kota had arrived here on September 5, after he went missing from
New Delhi on September 3. "As per our investigation he came here on September
5 and went on to look places. He saw the Taj Mahal and then came back
to his hotel. On the same evening, he left the hotel and since then he
is missing. We have inquired people about him and have looked for him
in probable places. We are carrying out the investigation. We will also
search for him in Varanasi," said Dilip Mittal, Station House Officer
(Agra). The Japanese Embassy, in coordination with the local administration
and police has speeded up search for the young man ever since. Kota's
parents, Shigru and Eikoms Shinozaki, arrived in India nearly a month
after his disappearance. Twenty-one-year old Kota, a Tokyo resident, left
for India for a month-long vacation in September. His parents, however,
did not have any specific information about his itinerary. Having been
out of touch for a long time form their son, Kota's parents notified the
Japanese Foreign Ministry after which the Japanese Embassy in New Delhi
filed a missing person's report with Delhi Police. |
