Security arrangements for Amarnath Yatra
New
Delhi: The Union Home Secretary V K Duggal will visit Jammu and Kashmir
today to review the overall security situation particularly focussing
on security arrangements for Amarnath Yatra. Official sources said Duggal
and other officials will also review the arrangements for yet another
bus service on the Poonch- Rawalkot sector. Besides, Duggal will review
the situation in other parts of the state besides hold consultation with
the state administration on the formation of five working groups, that
had been decided after the second round table conference held in Srinagar.
He will be accompanied by senior officials of the Ministry of Home Affairs,
Ministry of Defence and Central Paramilitary Organisations. During the
visit, the Union Home Secretary will also visit Amarnath Yatri camp at
Baltal and hold discussions with senior officers of the State in Srinagar.
Duggal will also be meeting the Governor and the Chief Minister Ghulam
Nabi Azad there.
