Manali: Himachal Pradesh, a tourist paradise, is also becoming the favourite place for honeymooners. The Manali hill resort in the state has become a paradise for honeymooners from across the country. Right from adventure sports like paragliding, river rafting, skiing, trekking, mountaineering, ice-skating to relaxing and sightseeing, Manali gives its tourists a wide range of options to choose from. "We just skied. I had a great time, now we will go for paragliding and also snow mobile. We are really having a great time. Manali is a beautiful place," said Ching, a tourist.

Newly wed couples feel Manali has much to offer to them as they embark on a life of blissful harmony. "It is 'the' perfect place for the honeymooners in India. It is the best hill station I have ever visited in the whole of India," said Kunal, another tourist from West Bengal. According to the tourist authorities, everyday about 15000 to 18000 honeymooning couples visit Manali. The state of Himachal Pradesh boasts of some of India's best ski slopes. There are 2.5-kilometer runs, with black, red and blue routes for beginners. Heavy snowfall in Himachal Pradesh is also an attraction for many visitors this year. Blessed with some of the most spectacular and beautiful landscapes anywhere, Manali is a traveller's paradise with lofty snow peaks, deep gorges, lush green valleys, fast flowing rivers, enchanting mountain lakes, flower bedecked meadows, beautiful temples and monasteries steeped in time. Nearly four million tourists visit Himachal Pradesh every year and the figure has been increasing by about 15 percent annually.
