BRASILIA, Dec 19: Brazil's President Jair Bolsonaro has bizarre reactions of imagined side-effects of the covid vaccine using modern technology that manipulates human biology.

Bolsonaro, a true friend of US President Donald Trump, has said he will not get vaccinated even as he has launched the vaccination drive in the country, but said nobody will be forced to take it. However, when he was advised by many he should set an example instead, he argued that he will not need the covid vaccine since he has already had coronavirus and has developed immunity against the virus. Like Trump, Bolsonaro was against mask and vaccination and whatsoever is science.

According to local media, Bolsonaro warned those wanting to take the covid vaccine that as an after-effect if they turn into crocodiles or men start speaking in female voice or women develop beards post-inoculation, the pharma companies will not take the responsibility. In the Pfizer contract, he said, it's very clearly stated, "We're not responsible for any side-effects."

"In the Pfizer contract it's very clear: 'we're not responsible for any side-effects.' If you turn into a crocodile, it's your problem," the Brazilian President said, according to an AFP report.

Bolsonaro was speaking at a function in Porto Seguro in Brazil and a video has gone viral on social media.

The Brazilian Supreme Court ruled that people could be “required, but not forced” to be vaccinated.

Pfizer-BioNTech uses the latest technology of mRNA. "The (mRNA) (genetic ) code instructs cells in the body to make the virus's distinctive 'spike' protein," which works as the vaccine, the FDA had said.

That is, Pfizer's in itself is not a vaccine, it is a genetic code of instruction taken from coronavirus. It is carried to the human cells in a bubble of fatty molecules. The cells are instructed by the code to produce the "vaccine" to which the immune system responds.

They call the manipulated process as engineered transcription. The general concern is, will it go awry one day and set off other genetic changes? That will have catastrophic impact. To rule out such adverse effects, mRNA technology needs to be on clinical trials for at least twenty years. Likewise, we have had our concerns over GM technology.

Meanwhile, coronavirus has opened up a whole new world of possibilities of disastrous responses of the immune system unfamiliar to the doctors and scientists so far. So what type of response the engineered vaccine will evoke?

The new technology is being used in human beings for the first time. Apart from Pfizer, Moderna and one more pharma, Pune's (India) Gennova, are using this tech.

There have been a total of 1,85,000 deaths so far in Brazil which has a population of 21.2 crore.
